Contrary to some beliefs, all drugs without any exceptions do in fact have number of side effects, as they don’t just affect the targeted receptor. As antibiotic kills many of the good bacteria, one of the common side effects is diarrhoea. Some patients can become allergic to the drug due to an immune reaction.

- headache;
- swollen, black, or “hairy” tongue; or
- thrush (white patches or inside your mouth or throat).
Some other minor side effects can also appear. Consult with your doctor about any of them that bother you.
If any of side effects persist or worsen, notify your health care provider or pharmacist promptly.
