Amazon.com is a US company specializing on e-commerce. It was founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos in Seattle, Washington. It was launched in 1995 as an online bookstore, although it soon made its product lines wider, adding VHSs, DVDs, music CDs, MP3s, computer software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and more. Nowadays service of Amazon.com embraces 34 goods categories. Amazon was almost the first companies to start selling goods in the Internet. Company has won the success thanks to the unique corporative policy. Separate websites were also created in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, France, China, and Japan.

Amazon.com was the first to use the great potential of Internet: ability to apply to much bigger number of clients than ordinary shop has, bigger variety of goods not limited by the ability of shop storage facility. One of the most popular features of Amazon is the possibility for every user to leave reviews on the web page on each product. User have also to rate the product as the part of the review from one to five stars. Such rating scales provide a basic idea of the popularity and dependability of a product. Reviews are very important and have a big impact on the customers. This feature is one of the main reasons for such a great popularity of Amazon.
